The Silk Scarf

The setting
The setting of this story is at the Oriental Plaza in Johannesburg( At a shopping centre where shops are owned by Indian people )

Main Character
The main character in story is Mrs Nebo. She is medium height, with heavy loins and smooth skin. She is the wife of an important official of the African Front. Her husband will be be the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new Government.  Mrs Nebo like expensive clothes and jewellery. She is very ambitious and always got what she wanted. She was always accompanied by her escorts and chauffeur whenever she went out. She lived in the white suburb of Houghton in a big mansion with a swimming pool.

Summary
 One day Mrs Nebo went out shopping with her friend Margaret at the Plaza. After buying all the shoes, jewellery and swimming costumes she wanted, Mrs Nebo saw a beautiful Indian dress in a shop window and decided to buy it. She desperately wanted a matching silk scarf for the dress, but unfortunately she couldn't find it in the same shop. She went from shop to shop until She came to 'Moghul Boutique Where she found the scarf she was looking for. The scarf cost hundred and ten rands, but Mrs Nebo was only having ninety five rands in her handbag. She then decided to give him a cheque, but Mr Sakur( the shopkeeper) didn't accept the cheque since he strictly dealt with cash. Mrs Nebo felt offended by his rules, because her bank account was spiralling with money and she decided not leave the shop until he gives her the scarf. They were arguing very loud about the cheque story and the shopkeepers opposite Mr Sakurs shop came in to hear about the dispute. They came to an conclusion about the dispute and decided to buy the scarf for Mrs Nebo, because her husband was an important figure in the new government and could cause harm to their shops.
